An american middle-aged stage performer is touring Europe with his solo show. He spends the nights alone in hotel rooms. During his stay in Berlin for teaching a young acting group, he meets a young single mother and her 4-year-old son. While he is trying to reconcile with the daughter he abandoned in childhood, he is confronted with the loss of his own son. Connected by their loneliness and pain they find relief through physical theater.
